Honoring NATCA’s 2026 Regional Legislative Award Winners

NATCA honored 12 members for their dedication to the Union’s grassroots legislative efforts. These activists were selected by their Regional Vice President and recognized for their work educating members of Congress and advancing the safety of the National Airspace System.

Great Lakes Region: Chris Gorman (Minneapolis Center, ZMP) and Michelle Toth (Cleveland Center, ZOB)
New England Region: Matt Morgan (Boston ATCT, BOS)
Northwest Mountain Region: Tyler Ellis (Salt Lake City Center, ZLC)
Region X: Don Schmeichel (Engineer Northwest Mountain, ENM) 
Southern Region: Areil Smith (Knoxville ATCT, TYS)
