NATCA Honored with the NAHF Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award
NATCA President Nick Daniels accepted – on behalf of the Union – the Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award from the National Aviation Hall of Fame during a reception for the 62nd Annual Enshrinement. The event took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
“On behalf of the hard-working American men and women – the American patriots – that are 11,100 certified professional controllers running the busiest, most complex, most dynamic – yet still the safest – airspace in the entire world, we are humbled, we are honored. You likely won’t know their names. You likely won’t ever meet one of those fellow controllers, but day-in and day-out they go to work with a purpose, and that is to ensure your safety,” Daniels remarked after accepting the award. The Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award is presented annually to honor aerospace organizations that make significant contributions to aviation heritage, community service, or humanitarian efforts.
