NATCA Leaders Take Part in 37th Annual Women in Aviation Conference
NATCA leaders and members represented our Union at the 2026 Women in Aviation International (WAI) Conference from March 19-21, 2026, in Grapevine, Texas. NATCA’s presence, both on-stage and in the exhibit hall, provided valuable opportunities to engage directly with aviation professionals, students, and future air traffic controllers. The conference allowed NATCA to highlight its mission and career pathways, continuing NATCA’s support of industry-wide workforce development and inclusion efforts.
During the three-day event, NATCA was represented by Southwest Regional Vice President John Bratcher and Runway Safety Representative Bridget Singratanakul (Dallas-Fort Worth ATCT, DFW). Volunteers at the NATCA booth included Kim Shattuck (Dallas-Fort Worth TRACON, D10) and Alicia Jordan, NATCA Meeting Planning and Events Representative.
In addition to current NATCA members, retired NATCA member and RNAV member Michelle Trudeau (Indianapolis Center, retired) took part in the three-day gathering.
The WAI conference brings together a diverse audience of aviation professionals, providing visibility for NATCA to reinforce its role within the broader aviation industry. Participation in WAI supports NATCA’s ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals and promoting a strong, inclusive workforce. The 2027 WAI will take place February 25-27 in Savannah, Georgia.
