RVP Monthly Update January 2025 – From Steph
NNM NATCA Members, With the recent tragic events, I am grateful for the support that we have shown for each other. I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the members in the Northwest Mountain Region. NATCA’s Public Affairs department has been coordinating media requests (television, radio, newspapers, podcasts, etc) and we will continue these efforts. I attended the National Constitution Committee meeting in Jan and had the opportunity to see the amazing work the committee does in preparation for the amendment booklet for convention. It is a great group of members who are passionate about our union. We also had Pre Arbitration Review (PAR) in Seattle Jan 21-22 which we followed up with a few Seattle area facility visits. It was good to get out to facilities, talk with members, and see what’s going on first hand and how we can help. At the end of Jan we had an NEB meeting along with a committee chair meeting. During the NEB meeting we had several briefings a few of which included the Fatigue Workgroup, Recuperative Break Workgroup, and Federal Contract Towers. During the committee chair meeting we had the opportunity to see the instrumental work being done by our committees, learn what their plans are moving forward, and how the NEB can help and support them. We have facility visits planned in CO, ID, MT and UT in February. We look forward to seeing you soon! |
