NATCA Encourages a Career in Air Traffic at Girls in Aviation Day in Mesa, Ariz.

On Sept. 21, NATCA members participated in Mesa, Ariz.’s third Girls in Aviation Day at Wings of Flight Foundation Hanger at Falcon Field Airport. There were over 500 attendees and no shortage of interest in air traffic control. Seeing themselves in the role of an air traffic controller provided inspiration to many of these young women who have expressed interest in aviation.

Members from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway FCT (IWA) and Phoenix TRACON (P50) were present to encourage and educate attendees on what air traffic control is and how we impact the aviation industry.
