NATCA Endorses Re-Election of President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris in 2024
NATCA Joins the Labor Movement in endorsing Biden-Harris Because They Are Committed to Improving the Lives of Every Member of Our Union
(WASHINGTON) – The National Executive Board of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) voted unanimously to endorse President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris for re-election in 2024.
“As soon as President Biden took office, he rescinded the Executive Orders that his predecessor had issued that undermined federal employee rights to due process and union rights to represent employees,” said NATCA President Rich Santa.
“In addition, President Biden introduced and negotiated the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that provides $5 billion for upgrades to air traffic control facilities owned by the FAA and an additional $25 billion for towers owned by localities as well as upgrades to airport infrastructure,” Santa said. “Not only has President Biden delivered on infrastructure, NATCA has been involved in the process to implement the infrastructure bill.”
Santa, a member of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations’ (AFL-CIO) General Board, voted on behalf of NATCA for the AFL-CIO to likewise endorse President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris for re-election. The AFL-CIO and its other 59 member unions represent 12.5 million working people.
“With an administration in the White House that is committed to labor, and the bipartisan relationships our activists have built in Congress, NATCA is making real improvements to the lives of every member of our Union,” Santa said. “For these reasons, NATCA enthusiastically endorses President Biden and Vice-President Harris for re-election in 2024.”
