Request for Volunteer: Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) Article 114 Representative
NATCA is requesting one volunteer to serve as an Article 114 Aeronautical Information Management (AIS) Representative.
DUTIES:
This is a full-time position; 80 hours of duty time per pay period.
Aeronautical Services (AJM-336) has programmatic responsibility for a suite of systems and services that directly support the collection, validation, management, and dissemination of aeronautical information. This information includes NOTAMs, obstacle data, Aeronautical Information Replacement System (AISR), and the National Airspace System Resource (NASR) database. These systems and services are under the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) umbrella.
Participation in status meetings can be from a remote location. Periodically, face-to-face meetings in Washington, D.C. will be required for safety panel meetings, reviewing instructional materials, attending course walk-throughs, technical discussions, and document reviews.
REQUIREMENTS:
Member in good standing;
Proficient in MS Word and Excel;
Certified Professional Controller (CPC)
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with the following is preferred:
Familiar with ATC and FSS use of Aeronautical Information;
Familiar with NAS Training Requirements;
Experience in FAA Safety Management System (SMS) process;
Collaborating and negotiating with management.
TRAVEL:
Travel to Washington, D.C. as needed.
