NATCA Charitable Foundation Supports Rebuilding Together Philadelphia
NATCA members from Philadelphia ATCT (PHL) joined other volunteers in October to rehabilitate 33 local homes in two days during the Rebuilding Together Philadelphia event.
Kristen Laubach (PHL), Rich Doak (PHL), retired PHL controller Brian Buckley, and NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) Events Committee Chairman Jason F. Boyde gave their time and elbow grease to help make the event a huge success.
“In the home we were working on in Kensington, Pa., we painted the dining room and kitchen, replaced vinyl siding, replaced three dangerous basement stair treads, dropped a linoleum floor in the upstairs bedroom and replaced water damaged drop ceiling tile,” Boyde said.
NCF presented Rebuilding Together Philadelphia a check for $2,000 during the event, and member fundraising also raised another $1,350.
“Next year we look forward to having as many volunteers as we can to help,” Boyde said.
