Professional Standards Committee Welcomes New Members

The Professional Standards (PS) Committee recently welcomed new membersduring its three-day training in Albuquerque, N.M. The meeting took place from May 12-14, 2026, integrating new members into the PS structure.

Virginia Professional Standards District Chair Garrett Teames (Washington Center, ZDC) described the committee’s work: “I’ve been a Professional Standards Committee member for 10 years and a PS District Chair for nearly two years. Over that time, I’ve seen many issues — that once felt impossible — resolved by trusting the Professional Standards process. I truly believe in this program. After attending the recent PS Committee Member Training class in Albuquerque, I was reminded how a commitment to professionalism and solidarity can bring us together as a highly functioning team.”

NATCA members able to attend May’s meeting included Kelly Barry (Houston TRACON, I90), Eric Carrazco (El Paso ATCT, ELP), Devontay Hall (Beaumont ATCT, BPT), Chad Hurt (Los Angeles Center, ZLA), Charles Kelley (ZLA), Ryan McCain (I90), Andy Perez (Reid-Hillview ATCT, RHV), Davon Peterson (South Bend ATCT, SBN), Jared Sexton (North Las Vegas ATCT, VGT), Garrett Teames (Washington Center, ZDC), Anthony Tolentino (St. Petersburg ATCT, PIE), Cheyne Tsuneda (Honolulu Control Facility, HCF), Nina Vierra (HCF), and James Wright (Columbus ATCT, CMH).
