2026 NATCA Calendar Highlight: June Photo Features Broomfield ATCT (BJC)

For June, the 2026 NATCA wall calendar features a photo of Broomfield ATCT (BJC) taken by local member Thomas Eliasen.

Broomfield ATCT is a level 8 FAA tower with 16 NATCA members located at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Colorado. The airport is designated as a public-use, general aviation reliever airport, meaning it has been designated by the FAA to relieve congestion at commercial service airports and to provide improved general aviation access to the overall community.

In 2024, air traffic controllers at BJC handled approximately 294,000 operations, their most ever reported.

BJC is also one of the rare air traffic control facilities upgraded within the last 15 years. The new tower was dedicated in 2012.
