NiW 2026: U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio Addresses Activists, Reaffirms Support for Aviation Safety

U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio (Pa.-17) addressed NATCA activists today at NATCA in Washington, emphasizing his commitment to the safety of the National Airspace System and the well-being of the air traffic control workforce. A member of the House Aviation Subcommittee and an Iraq War veteran, Deluzio’s background as a union organizer informs his advocacy for labor protections and the rights of federal employees.

Despite his short time in Congress, Congressman Deluzio has already distinguished himself as an advocate for transportation unions and as a strong NATCA ally. He is a co-sponsor of the Mental Health in Aviation Act, the Shutdown Fairness Act, and the Aviation Funding Stability Act. NATCA appreciates the Congressman’s dedication to ensuring that aviation safety professionals and families are protected and have the resources necessary to maintain the highest safety standards.
