NAHF honors the National Air Traffic Controllers Association with the 2026 Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award
NATCA is excited to share that we’ve been selected by the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) as the 2026 recipient of the 2026 Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award. The Spirit of Flight Award is presented annually to an aerospace organization that utilizes its resources for charitable purposes, or in service to all.
“This honor belongs to the dedicated air traffic controllers, engineers, and other aviation safety professionals who serve the public every day,” NATCA President Nick Daniels said. “Our members are committed to keeping the flying public safe while supporting a modern, efficient, and resilient National Airspace System. We are proud to accept this award in recognition of their professionalism, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to aviation safety.”
NATCA members continue to maintain the busiest and most complex airspace in the world with the highest safety standards, even amid aging infrastructure, government shutdowns, and other obstacles.
As our Union nears its 40th anniversary, we look forward to continuing our commitment to our members, the aviation industry, and the flying public.
Thank you, NAHF for this honor.
