NATCA’s Government Affairs Team Prepares Members to Deliver “The Ask”

At NATCA in Washington 2025, our Union’s Government Affairs Team addressed members to provide them with the information to advocate confidently and successfully on Capitol Hill. Government Affairs Director Josh Nassar, NLC Chair David Skarphol, and NLC Vice Chair Allison Schwaegel explained “The Ask” for our lobbying week, ensuring our member activists understand and can impart our Union’s message about our critical advocacy priorities.

Before heading into congressional meetings, NATCA activists practiced delivering their message in mock sessions led by experienced legislative advocates. Their preparation strengthens our Union’s voice and ensures lawmakers understand the urgent needs of our members and our profession.
