Professional Standards Committee Goes to Albuquerque to Train Members

The Professional Standards (PS) Committee held a 3-day training at Albuquerque Center (ZAB) from Oct. 22-24. The course was led by instructors Lydia Baune (Spokane ATCT, GEG), Patrick Carter (Dallas-Fort Worth TRACON, D10), and Chris Keyes (Washington Center, ZDC). The participants included both new and experienced PS members.

Dave Keifer (Indianapolis Center, ZID) reflecting on his experience with the class said, “I really enjoyed seeing how the PS training has evolved from the first time I went through the course. Professional Standards provides a valuable opportunity for resolution to a conflict or potential disciplinary issue that wouldn’t normally be afforded to BUEs.”

Other participants included Keith Clark (Eugene ATCT, EUG), Michael Cummins (Lansing ATCT, LAN), Peter Costanza (Pueblo ATCT, PUB), Andrew Duong (Oakland Center, ZOA), Adam Havard (Duluth ATCT, DLH), Ryan Kutschbach (Denver TRACON, D01), Nathan Noeldner (Houston Center, ZHU), Shane Oxendine (Lexington ATCT, LEX), Victoria Perry (Albuquerque Center, ZAB), Taylor Rubin (ZAB), Andrew Santorelli (Washington National ATCT, DCA), Eric Spangler (Cincinnati ATCT, CVG), and Cory Stiely (Memphis TRACON, M03).
