NATCA Recognizes International Day of the Controller: Oct. 20, 2024
Happy International Day of the Controller from your NATCA family! On Oct. 20, the global aviation community comes together to recognize the vital work of our profession around the world. Oct. 20, 2024 also marks the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers (IFATCA). IFATCA represents air traffic controller associations in more than 130 countries, including NATCA in the U.S. They provide guidance, representation, training, and other services to advance the status and professionalism of air traffic control.
This year, IFATCA’s theme is “Invest in People: The Future of ATM.” At NATCA, we couldn’t agree more. Proper staffing, benefits, working conditions, and training is vital to maintain the safety of the flying public.
