Senate Passes Short-term FAA Authorization Extension
Tonight, the Senate passed another short-term extension of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) authorization to May 10, averting an interruption in operations. The House previously passed the FAA authorization extension on Feb. 29. The measure now heads to the President, who is expected to sign it into law. The extension will give members of Congress additional time to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of the pending five-year FAA reauthorization bills.
We will continue to provide timely updates to NATCA members as Congress moves forward with FAA reauthorization in the coming weeks.
