NATCA Member Educates Students on Aviation Safety Careers
James Newman, NATCA member at Kansas City Center (ZKC), represented both our Union and aviation safety professions at a career fair organized by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce in Olathe, Kan. The event, held on Nov. 9, was an opportunity for students to interact with Newman and other professionals. Newman highlighted the critical role of aviation safety professionals, providing valuable insights into this rewarding and specialized career path.
Over 1,000 high school juniors and seniors from five school districts, along with adult learners pursuing related diplomas, certifications, and degrees, had the opportunity to explore careers within targeted industries. The fair boasted interactive displays and hands-on demonstrations, allowing for an immersive learning experience and a chance to motivate students to pursue aviation safety careers.
