NATCA Announces Enrollment Open Season for Unum Long-Term Disability Program
On June 20, NATCA will begin an enrollment open season for its popular Unum group long-term disability (LTD) program. The Unum LTD program protects NATCA members and their families with peace of mind in the event they lose their medical or become disabled. LTD insurance can be the most important part of your overall benefits package, and NATCA offers members the opportunity to purchase it at affordable group rates. Covered members who have submitted claims through the program often describe the coverage they received as one of the greatest benefits of being a member of our Union.
In 2023, our Union is offering the following incentives for new enrollees and current plan participants:
Enrollment Incentive: Every new enrollee will be entered into a weekly drawing for a $50 gift card throughout the open enrollment period. The earlier you sign up, the more opportunities you will have to win.
Referral Incentive: Each time a NATCA member completes the Unum new enrollee registration process and identifies the NATCA member who referred them to enroll, the referring member will receive a $25 gift card.
Regional Competition: Our goal for this open season is for at least 10 percent of NATCA’s members currently not covered by the NATCA/Unum Long Term Disability Program to enroll.
The first NATCA region to enroll at least 10 percent of currently unenrolled members will have $2,500 in its honor donated to the NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) and $2,500 donated to the NATCA Disaster Relief Committee (DRC).
The second NATCA region to meet this goal will have $1,500 donated in its honor to NCF and $1,500 donated to the DRC.
If all NATCA regions enroll at least 10 percent of their currently unenrolled members, Unum will donate another $5,000 to the NCF and $5,000 to the DRC.
For this competition, NATCA’s Region X members will be counted as part of the geographic region in which they live.
