WASHINGTON – The National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) issued this statement to welcome Ali Bahrami to his new position as Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):
“We congratulate Associate Administrator Bahrami and look forward to continuing the strong collaborative partnership that we enjoy with the FAA on aviation safety issues. Mr. Bahrami has worked in the aviation community for more than 35 years. He first joined the FAA in 1989 as an engineer and later served in both industry and government. That is a great foundation for him to thrive in his new position. NATCA members in all of our bargaining units representing aviation safety professionals are passionate about working to maintain the world’s safest system. We are fully committed to working with Mr. Bahrami and all stakeholders to take our safety record to an even higher level.
