NATCA Statement On the Shooting at Fort Lauderdale Airport
WASHINGTON – We are deeply saddened at the tragic loss of life and injuries resulting from today’s shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who were killed, and with those who have been injured.
This is another terrible incident where an attacker has used aviation and an airport as a target for senseless violence. An incident like this is deeply upsetting, particularly for those passengers and employees – including NATCA members in the air traffic control tower – at FLL today when it occurred.
