John Bratcher
Southwest Regional Vice President (NSW)
This is John Bratcher’s first term as Southwest (NSW) Regional Vice President. He has previously served as President and Facility Representative at Fort Smith ATCT/Razorback Approach (FSM) for thirteen years, and as Southwest Alternate Regional Vice President since 2021. Bratcher’s ATC journey began in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he spent time in the Federal Contract Tower (FCT) Program as a controller in Springdale, Ark. (ASG). At ASG, John organized the local and became its first FacRep. For the past 18 years, he has been a controller and activist at Fort Smith ATCT and Razorback Approach (FSM). Bratcher’s NATCA involvement soon extended to the national level when he became a member of the National Benefits Committee, later serving as chair for 13 years. He is also chair of NATCA’s Board of Trustees and the National Organizing Committee. Additionally, he had the honor to serve on various contract negotiating teams, including the Serco FCT Contract Team, Midwest FCT Contract Team, and most recently, the 2016 Slate Book Contract Team. Bratcher and his amazing wife, Valerie, have three wonderful children: John, Rebeca, and Preston.
