Dean Von Almen is serving a partial term as Great Lakes (NGL) Regional Vice President (RVP). Dean was appointed as RVP after Drew MacQueen retired. Dean previously was the FacRep for Chicago O’Hare TRACON (C90) and the Alternate Great Lakes Region Vice President (ARVP). He began his air traffic control career in the United States Air Force (USAF), where he was stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB and Balad Air Base (Iraq). After serving in the USAF, Dean was hired by the FAA and began working at C90 in 2008. He has served as an Area Rep and Vice President and became C90 FacRep in 2021. Dean has represented NATCA on multiple teams, including CRWG implementation, Right from the Start, and NCEPT.
