| Region X and Staff Support Specialists Overwhelmingly Vote to Ratify CBA |
| Brothers and Sisters, I am writing to congratulate you in winning a new Collective Bargaining Agreement! Region X and Staff Support Specialists have overwhelmingly approved to ratify the successor agreement to the light blue book and purple book collective bargaining agreements. Out of the 1,595 total eligible voters, 991 (or over 62%) used our collective voice to approve this agreement. Over 96.5% voted to ratify! I want to say on behalf of the entire CBA Negotiating Team, thank you for taking an affirmative step to approve this contract. The entire team worked nearly two years in the preparation, negotiation, and ultimate ratification of this agreement. There are many positive gains that were secured, including protecting sick leave buyback, strengthened and broadened telework rules, new remote work options, as well as expanded collaboration and safety articles to name just a few. Most importantly, we have the protection of a member ratified contract as we move forward. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to our chief negotiator, Andrew LeBovidge, Nicole Vitale, Ed Szczuka, Lisen Minetti, Jordan Klein and Corey Glaze. These Leaders sacrificed personal time, overtime, time with family and loved ones for the greater good of our union, and we are grateful and appreciative of a job well done.
