NATCA Thanks Rich Santa and Andrew LeBovidge for Their Service to NATCA

NATCA would like to thank Rich Santa and Andrew LeBovidge for their leadership and commitment to our Union and aviation safety during their term as President and Executive Vice President, respectively.
During their terms, they were a voice for the stable and sufficient government investment necessary to maintain and modernize the national airspace system and to ensure it was adequately staffed with trained and certified aviation safety professionals.

In the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, NATCA achieved its long-sought goals of requiring the FAA to engage in maximum hiring of air traffic controller trainees and revise its staffing plan to meet all the agency’s operational, statutory, and contractual requirements. Their dedication to fighting for our issues and willingness to set aggressive goals have helped NATCA achieve longstanding objectives.

In addition to addressing the staffing crisis, they brought to the forefront the discussion of how to improve the mental health of NATCA members.  NATCA President-elect Nick Daniels said, “On behalf of all NATCA members, thank you, Rich and Andrew, for your dedication and devoting your time and passion to NATCA.”
