NATCA Joins NBCFAE’s 47th National Training Conference to Empower FAA Employees
The National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE) held its 47th National Training Conference from Aug. 11-14 in Arlington, Va. The event, themed “Blueprint: Igniting Your Success,” brought together a diverse group of professionals dedicated to advancing equal opportunities within the FAA. NATCA proudly sponsored the event and hosted an informational booth.
Representing NATCA at the conference, Mylinka Brogdon (Atlanta Center, ZTL), Aubrey Farrar (Washington National ATCT, DCA), and Darrin Johnson (DCA), engaged with NBCFAE attendees, sharing their experiences as air traffic controllers and offering insights into aviation safety careers. Their participation exemplified NATCA’s commitment to supporting and promoting diversity within the aviation industry.
Founded in 1976, NBCFAE is the largest employee association within the FAA, dedicated to promoting equal opportunity, providing support, and advocating for African Americans, minorities, and women in the aviation industry.
NBCFAE’s training conferences are a vital resource for FAA employees, offering training opportunities that are essential for professional growth and the achievement of the coalition’s mission. These conferences, held in various FAA facilities and major cities nationwide, are integral to fostering the success of employees and the broader aviation community.
