NATCA President Speaks at Air Line Pilots Association Executive Board Meeting
NATCA President Rich Santa was a featured guest speaker at the 134th regular meeting of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) Executive Board, which took place May 15-17 at ALPA’s headquarters in McLean, Va.
The meeting brought together ALPA’s national officers, executive vice presidents, and master executive council (MEC) chairs to deliberate on union matters and strategies for advancing the interests of ALPA members.
Santa emphasized the importance of collaboration among unions in the aviation sector. “Our united efforts are crucial for advancing workers’ rights and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our airspace,” Santa said about the event. “I am eager to build on our shared achievements and confront new challenges together.”
The Executive Board meeting also featured speeches from U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (Penn.-1) and Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su, highlighting the importance of governmental and inter-union cooperation in addressing the needs of aviation professionals.
ALPA President Capt. Jason Ambrosi expressed a commitment to continued collaboration: “Together we’ve built a solid foundation, and I’m ready to work with you to get even more done.”
