Professional Standards Training Held at Phoenix TRACON
The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) members Lydia Baune (Spokane ATCT, GEG), Patrick Carter (Dallas/Fort Worth TRACON, D10), and Chris Keyes (Washington Center, ZDC) held a training from April 16-18 at Phoenix TRACON (P50). During the meeting, they welcomed the new members to the team and thanked them for volunteering to serve NATCA in such an important way. Attendees also learned tactics to improve communication, teamwork, and problem solving so they can lead by example at their facilities.
Professional Standards San Diego (SAN) District Chair Veronica Moeller (Hilo TRACAB, ITO) was one of the attendees. When asked about her experience she said, “it’s really incredible to be a part of a program that both NATCA and the Agency support, especially given that it engenders better communication and teamwork between BUEs. This is my second PSC training course, and once again, I find myself completely inspired to simply do better, both at work and in life.”
Other participants included Jordan Callahan (Reno ATCT, RNO), Zachary Chupp (Jacksonville Center, ZJX), Charles Craft (San Diego ATCT, SAN), Amanda Dechow (Jacksonville Center, ZJX), Justin Erdmann (Chicago Center, ZAU), Lukas Gabrys (DuPage ATCT, DPA), Shelbi Howard (San Juan Center, ZSU), Casy Heggen (Phoenix ATCT, PHX), Will Myers (Akron-Canton ATCT, CAK), Robin Oxenford (Engineer Aeronautical Center, EAC), Nicole Paider (Jacksonville Center, ZJX), Steven Pezold (Salt Lake City ATCT, SLC), Jacob Taylor (Fort Smith ATCT, FSM), Justin Webster (Springfield ATCT, SPI), Phillip Wolfe (Detroit TRACON, D21), and Gordon Williams (Denver Center, ZDV, Colorado District Chair).
