Today, we are excited to shine the spotlight on a standout member of our National Office team: Membership Services Coordinator Deanna King.
Where are you from, or what places have you lived?
I am from Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Washington, D.C., in March 2022.
Where did you go to school, or what other education do you have?
I received my bachelor’s degree at New York City College of Technology (City Tech) in Brooklyn, N.Y., and my Master’s at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
How did you come to work at NATCA?
I started working in the membership department and quickly learned that NATCA’s values of community and leadership align with my values that I practice every day.
What’s the most rewarding part of being a member of NATCA’s staff? What’s the most challenging?
The most rewarding is being able to enhance the standing and success of the NATCA Store. The most challenging is enhancing it even further since I’m a perfectionist at times.
Has there been a favorite moment for you while at NATCA?
I really cherish being able to sit at our staff luncheons and be with the community of NATCA.
My favorite comfort food is: French Fries
The best place I’ve ever traveled to was: Aruba.
My favorite sport is: Football.
In my spare time, I enjoy: Video games.
