CFS Panel: Lead, Learn, and Become Better Prepared Through Training
From the time aviation safety professionals begin training in their first facility to the time they hang up their headsets, training is critical to ensure each professional is at the top of their game in the interest of the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS) and the flying public. Today at #NATCACFS 2023, a panel of aviation training subject matter experts discussed “How Air Traffic Can Continue to Lead, Learn, and Become Better Prepared Through Training.”
NATCA National Training Representation Jamaal Haltom, FAA (Acting) Vice President of Safety and Technical Training Tracey Johnson moderated the panel, with NASA Senior Principal Investigator Dr. Immanuel Barshi, Southwest Airlines Pilots Association (SWAPA) Safety Committee Member Brad Simms, and Southwest Airlines Technical Pilot Trey Turner serving as panelists.
