NATCA Hosts Meet and Greet for Academy Trainees in Oklahoma City
On May 9, NATCA hosted an informal Q&A session for FAA Academy trainees at BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse in Oklahoma City. NATCA President Rich Santa, Central Region Vice President Aaron Merrick, National Training Rep. Jamaal Haltom (Las Vegas ATCT, LAS), Organizing Committee Chair John Bratcher (Fort Smith ATCT, FSM), Union Synergy Co-Chair Maurice Franklin (Potomac TRACON, PCT), and Professional Standards Committee Members Lydia Baune (Spokane ATCT, GEG) and Patrick Carter (Dallas-Fort Worth TRACON, D10).
Over 30 Academy trainees attended the meet and greet where they received information on training, FAA funding, facility placement, Union benefits, NATCA’s role, and more. They also had the opportunity to ask questions.
The next Oklahoma City Meet and Greet will take place on June 28th. We look forward to meeting with more trainees.
