NNM Representatives Join Region-Wide Reloaded Leadership Workshop
NATCA’s Northwest Mountain Region (NNM) hosted its first NNM-wide Reloaded Leadership Workshop in Seattle in September. NNM members from throughout the region attended and participated in discussions about collaborative leadership, active listening, and professionalism. The workshop challenged individuals to consider not only their own strengths and weaknesses, but others’ as well. The workshop encouraged members to connect with other members in their locals, take advantage of differences, and work on ways to get others involved and active in their locals.
“Reloaded has done Building a Stronger Local workshops for specific facilities, but this is the first time we have taken it further and challenged current and future leaders across multiple facilities,” NNM Reloaded Mentee Sam Navarro (Seattle ATCT, SEA) said. “I hope the Reloaded Committee can continue challenging others to further themselves for the benefit of us all.”
“This workshop helped us all find new ways to understand one another and to bring out the best in each other and ourselves,” NNM Reloaded Representative Jamie Sanders (Denver Centennial ATCT, APA) said. “When we are having difficulties within our locals, sometimes it just takes a different approach to keep everyone moving forward in a positive direction.”
