MYR Member Shelby Marion Was ‘Such a Joy to be Around’

NATCA is also very saddened by the loss of Myrtle Beach ATCT (MYR) member Shelby Marion, who passed away on Aug. 19. He was a Navy veteran and had worked at MYR for the past three years.

“Shelby was such a joy to be around,” MYR FacRep Zachary Hutchings said. “He had a contagious laugh and always got other people to laugh. He just had a way to brighten up someone’s day with encouraging words or with information about a matter. He did not have a mean or confrontational bone in his body and all of us at Myrtle Beach ATCT will miss Shelby dearly.”
