NATCA Charitable Foundation Supports MS Walk

HouseofClouseJimmy Clouse is a dedicated NATCAvist and noted activist outside of the Union, raising money every year in support of finding a cure for his wife, Miriam, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2007.

From Jimmy:

On April 7, 2018, I’ll be participating in my 11th charitable walk in the 2018 Walk MS (multiple sclerosis) at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. My team, KICKING ASPHALT, has been kicking some serious…tail and has been working hard to raise money. This event attracts more than 2,000 walkers and runners from across the city for a memorable Fort Worth event. The walk is hosted by the National MS Society, and the proceeds from the event support our mission of creating a world free of multiple sclerosis.

Will you join me? Will you join the walk? Will you be a superhero to those fighting this disease?

Why I Walk
During the Christmas season of 2007 my beautiful wife, Miriam, was diagnosed with MS. Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment, made possibly from the funds raised in events like Walk MS, are moving us closer to a world free of MS.

JimmyandMiriamClouseWhy You Should Sponsor Me
I want to find a cure for Miriam. Because MS sucks. I’m walking to create a world free of multiple sclerosis for Miriam and others who suffer from MS. You can join me in the movement by sponsoring these efforts. The money that we raise together will not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also provide programs that address the daily challenges of people living with MS today. Across the Lone Star Chapter this year, the Walk MS series is striving to raise at least $1.5 million, but it takes the commitment and dedication of thousands of Texans to make that a reality. Any amount you can contribute does make a difference. Check out my video testimonial about my fundraising goal of $50,000. If we reach it, I will attempt to eat the world’s stinkiest fish, the surströmming.

This is the second year that the NATCA Charitable Foundation is supporting the House of Clouse’s efforts through their walking team KICKING ASPHALT.
