On Dec. 7, Chicago Aurora ATCT (ARR) FacRep MJ Buchanan and fellow ARR controllers KenTavia Copeland and Anthony Hunt volunteered at a career booth at the local Air Force Academy High School career day.
At the school, they set up an air traffic control career booth, educating students on aviation safety careers. For many of the students, it was their first introduction to air traffic control.
“It was great to open the eyes of future generations to ATC, and offer insight to career possibilities that some never knew they had,” said Buchanan of the experience. “I’m looking forward to future opportunities and events.”
