July 14, 2017 // NATCA Members Give Back: Southern California Backpack Drive a Success

NATCA’s Western Pacific Region members concluded their annual backpack drive with enormous success. Thanks to the generosity of controllers over the last two months from Los Angeles ATCT (LAX), Santa Ana ATCT (SNA), Burbank ATCT (BUR), Torrance ATCT (TOA), Santa Monica ATCT (SMO), and Long Beach ATCT (LGB), the drive donated more than 40 backpacks, 30 calculators, and more than 1,200 other school supply items to underprivileged students around the Los Angeles area. In all, the drive collected more than $3,900 of supplies!

“There are so many of you who donated money, supplies, and your time to help make this drive successful, and I really appreciate your support!” LAX member and organizer of the drive Anu Shreedaran said. “This was an amazing display of how thoughtful and generous our SoCal controller family can be, and I really can’t say thank you enough for making this donation possible.”
