Critical Incident Stress Management
The NATCA CISM Team is a national team of trained air traffic controllers designed to help mitigate the acute stress that can occur on the job. Critical incidents include, but are not limited to, aircraft accidents, death of a co-worker, near mid-air or runway incursion, natural disaster or any event that can provoke a stress response. This is covered by Article 74 of our collective bargaining agreement.
