The National Air Traffic Controllers Association congratulates Teri Bristol on her appointment as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization (ATO).
The collaborative relationship developed and strengthened by NATCA and the FAA over the past four years has become one of the strongest and most successful examples of labor-management partnerships. It has received significant recognition throughout government, industry and labor circles. Bristol’s work with NATCA as ATO Deputy COO has contributed largely to the success of this collaborative relationship as well as to the progress of NextGen modernization efforts.
“We are proud of our strong working relationship with Teri and the rest of the leadership at the FAA,” said NATCA President Paul Rinaldi. “We know Teri values the input of our workforce and shares our priorities of making the National Airspace System the safest and most efficient in the world. We look forward to working with her to strengthen and grow the collaborative environment within both organizations.”
“The air traffic control workforce is engaged in all aspects of improving the National Airspace System,” said NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert. “We have worked hard to reach the point where controllers have a voice, and Teri has been a large part of helping us get there. She believes in collaboration as we do and knows that a skilled, invested workforce is best for everyone. We are pleased to continue working with Teri as she leads the ATO.”
