Testimony on delays in front of the House Aviation Subcommittee

WHO: National Air Traffic Controllers Association Executive Vice President Randy Schwitz.

WHAT: A discussion of the causes and solutions to this summer's rise in passenger flight delays, as presented in his testimony before the House Aviation Subcommittee.

WHEN: Testimony begins tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

WHY: The United States has the safest and most efficient air traffic control system in the world. NATCA continually strives to improve equipment and performance; however, flight delays are a complex, industry-wide problem and cannot be solved by modernization alone. Instead, all parties including the airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration must take responsibility for their part in creating this crisis.

Complete transcripts of Schwitz's testimony are available by contacting Dawn Deeks at (202) 628-5451 ext. 402.
