$5,000 check being presented to NATCA President Elena Nash from Southwest Regional Vice President Tim Smith and Fort Smith Tower FacRep John Bratcher

After Communicating for Safety, the Denver Biennial Convention and, most recently, NATCA in Washington, the NATCA Charitable Foundation (NCF) might see one of its biggest fundraising years yet. With NCF's many dedicated volunteers, the foundation was able to raise $8,300 at NATCA in Washington from raffle ticket sales, member donations, silent auction proceeds and table sponsors.

In addition to the funds that were raised by NCF, the NATCA Benefits Committee presented NCF with a $5,000 check from UNUM and NATCA on the behalf of the Southwest Region, who had the largest increase of eligible participants in the UNUM program, which closed in April.

NCF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization, helping to make a difference to the under-served expanding across the country. NCF is NATCA's charity of Choice, and involved in several fund-raising events, including one at the upcoming NATCA Denver Convention 2012. To find out more about how you can help and donate to NCF, visit their Web site at ncf.natca.net.
