NATCA Welcomes Newest Local
Thursday, August 25, 2011

NATCA leadership recently visited central Florida to welcome NATCA’s newest local, Leesburg FCT, a federal contract tower in Leesburg, Fla. LEE FCT is the first local organized since the new NATCA Organizing Committee was formed.

“It is great to be a part of giving a voice to fellow controllers who previously did not have one, while also strengthening our membership," said Organizing Committee Chair John Bratcher. "It is essential to our sustainability and growth as a union to continue organizing those aviation-related professionals that do not have anyone protecting and enhancing their profession.”

Bratcher joined NATCA Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert, Southern Regional Vice President Victor Santore and National Office LR Attorney Brian Sherry in presenting the new local with its charter, as well as attending the following Meet and Greet in Orlando welcoming LEE to the NATCA family.

During their time in Florida, our NATCA leaders also visited several other NATCA FAA and FCT facilities, including Central Florida TRACON (F11); Orlando International Tower (MCO); Kissimmee FCT (ISM); Orlando Executive Tower (ORL); Sanford Tower (SFB); Flagler FCT (XFL); and Daytona Beach Tower/TRACON (DAB), where a NATCA Meet and Greet was also held.
