NATCA, AMAS Team Up to Offer New Membership Benefit
Tuesday, August 02, 2011

NATCA and the Aero Medicine Advisory Service (formerly known as VFS) have added an additional benefit to being a member of NATCA. We are excited to announce that NATCA members are now eligible to receive a 20-percent discount on AMAS services outside of what is covered by the normal NATCA agreement.

AMAS understands that many of NATCA's members are also private pilots and could benefit from its aeromedical services when obtaining or regaining their pilot medical certification. And now, all eligible NATCA members can receive this discount off standard case services for pilot medical certification assistance. Medical advice and advocacy for a member’s pilot certificate, if it is outside of what is required to maintain their FAA Medical for their job, will now be available through AMAS. Members will still receive, at no cost to them: advice, council, and advocacy on issues that relate to their FAA Medical that is required for their employment with the FAA.

“This is just another value-added benefit that is available only to our membership," said NATCA Benefits Committee Chairman John Bratcher. "AMAS has continually supported NATCA and gladly stepped up to offer this great service to our membership.”

Interested NATCA members should contact 1-866-AEROMED for more information on this benefit, or visit the NATCA Benefits section of the members-only site for details on this and other great benefit options.
