NATCA Leaders Join AFL-CIO's Fourth of July Celebration
Monday, July 18, 2011

NATCA continues to collaborate closely with AFL-CIO leaders regarding important issues affecting America's working families. President Paul Rinaldi and Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert have worked hard to get NATCA's voice heard as a leading player in the organization's efforts, as made known by the positions they hold on the Working America Executive Committee (Paul) and Political Committee (Trish).

In a wonderful reminder of the friendship and the successful working relationship that has grown between our union and the AFL-CIO, EVP Trish Gilbert, NLC Chair Steve Weidner, and their spouses recently joined the Fourth of July celebration at the organization's headquarters in Washington, D.C. The group congregated alongside several AFL-CIO employees and their families for a great evening of food and solidarity.

The gathering was held on the eighth floor of the AFL-CIO building in the George Meany conference room. Here, the group was able to watch the fireworks, overlooking the White House, Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial. The venue also provided a great view of Washington National Tower (DCA) and the air traffic coming and going from National airport.
