Pat Forrey Takes over IFATCA Technical Position
Wednesday, June 08, 2011
The IFATCA Executive Vice President Technical was recently filled by Former NATCA President Pat Forrey at its conference in mid-April. The NEB, with the support of the NATCA Director of Safety and Technology Dale Wright, IFATCA ANC to ICAO Ruth Stilwell and IFATCA EVP Finance Darrell Meachum, submitted Pat’s name for election to the position.
"I am honored to be elected as IFATCA's Executive Vice President Technical -- a position that requires constant vigilance to all technical issues affecting our 138 member states, dealing with changes in infrastructure as well as procedural, operational and safety initiatives," said Forrey of his new role.
"It is a daunting proposition, but one of the most interesting and challenging roles I have ever undertaken. I am thankful to be regarded by the NATCA leadership for this important position, and looking forward to using the knowledge and experience as a controller and union representative to further the air traffic control profession world-wide."
We welcome Pat to his new role on the IFATCA leadership team, as his technical expertise will prove to be invaluable to their assocation and to NATCA.
