Multi-Unit Members' Vote Brings NATCA Closer to Goal
NATCA's goal of bringing all of its bargaining units under fairly negotiated collective bargaining agreements moved closer to reality this week with the good news that members of the Multi-Unit voted overwhelmingly to ratify the 2011 NATCA/FAA tentative agreement.
The vote was nearly unanimous, with 99 percent of valid returned ballots supporting ratification of the agreement.
Also this week, a tentative agreement for contract tower members working in RVA towers was posted on the members' Web site for review, joining the tentative agreement for Flight Service Station members who are next up to vote. The RVA agreement was sent to the printer and will be mailed. Contract ratification ballot packages will be mailed next month.
