CFS 2011 Update
Thursday, February 10, 2011
As of Feb. 9, 721 people had registered for CFS.
NATCA has signed a new contract with the Rio for more rooms at the new rate of $209. Here's the link:
Rooms are available at the block rate for several nights before and after the conference.
NATCA has been receiving calls from people complaining that their names weren't on the duty time list that went in to the agency. Everyone who filled out the duty time form was submitted. The duty form requirement was posted on the CFS Web site, put out in Paul and Trish's updates, distributed through the RVP's to the Facreps, and was posted on this BBS numerous times. If someone missed this and wants duty time for attending, facility management still can approve duty time on the local level, but that doesn't mean they will.
The cutoff for registration, due to the unexpected interest, was February 7. Anyone registered after that date will be waitlisted.
Reminder: If you registered for a single room, you are responsible for making your own room reservations at the Rio. With as quickly as our room block filled up last time, we would recommend doing so as soon as possible.
The CFS schedule, to date, is now up on the CFS Web site or may be found at the following link: http://www.natcacfs.com/CFS-2011-Schedule.pdf.
As always, send your questions and comments to any member of the National Safety Committee, whose member list may be found here.
