NATCA Reloaded Spotlight
Friday, January 14, 2011

More than 60 NATCA members from across the Mid-Atlantic states gathered in Reston, Va., on Wednesday for an evening focused on the history of the labor movement as well as the history of our own union.

The event, which was held in a private room at Paolo’s Restaurant, was sponsored by the NATCA Reloaded Committee in conjunction with the Eastern Region.

National Office staff and National Reloaded Committee members Jacqui Smith and Kelly Richardson were on hand to give the history presentation. A combination of both movie and interactive audience portions, this labor history presentation was most recently featured at the NATCA Convention in Honolulu this past September.

The main purpose of the evening was to educate members on our unique history within the labor movement, as well as to encourage newer members to get more involved within NATCA.

Facilities represented at the meeting included ZDC, DCA, IAD and PCT. Special thanks to Reloaded Reps Chrissy Padgett, Kristena “Jonesie” Jones, Matt Fisher and Amy Thornton for all of their hard work organizing this fantastic, informative and inspiring event.
