Indianapolis Holds Labor Day Celebration
Thursday, September 09, 2010

This year’s Labor Day parade again proved to be well worth the time and energy it takes to ensure a positive experience for all involved.

NATCA’s Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert walked with membership, as well as IND Facrep Mark Wittmayer and several e-board, members and family from IND tower, resulting in an attendance total of approximately 70 members.

“The crowd along the parade route seemed especially appreciative of their air traffic controllers this year, many taking the time to stand and clap as we passed,” shared ZID FacRep Tom Thompson who led the event.

“I wish to thank all those who were able to attend and those who wanted to attend, but couldn’t. Most importantly, I wish to thank those in our local who helped make this a great day. From those who arrived early to help decorate, to those who stayed late to help put everything away -- thank you.”
